About Dr. Casey

Dr. Casey is a board-certified adult psychiatrist dedicated to providing compassionate, thoughtful care. He completed both medical school and residency training at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, where he received the Academic Scholars Award four times and was selected for the prestigious BEST Fellowship in his third year. Throughout residency, he served in multiple leadership roles, including Chief Resident of Education and Chief Resident of Administration.

Following training, Dr. Casey worked as Associate Medical Director at Austin Oaks Hospital, where he cared for individuals facing some of the most challenging mental health conditions. He remains committed to education and mentorship, continuing to supervise residents and deliver lectures at LSU.

Dr. Casey’s practice is centered on delivering patient-focused, high-quality care tailored to your needs. He believes that our past experiences, relationships, and inner world all shape the way we feel and act in the present. By creating space to reflect on these deeper patterns, we can better understand the roots of your struggles—not just the surface symptoms. This insight can open the door to lasting change, helping you build healthier relationships with yourself and others while fostering greater resilience and emotional well-being.

Our work together will focus on building a plan that supports you from multiple angles. This may include therapeutic interventions—such as exploring patterns, developing coping strategies, and fostering new perspectives—as well as the thoughtful use of medication when it can be helpful. While medications can play an important role in relieving symptoms, they are only one part of the treatment process. The larger goal is to create a well-rounded, personalized approach that promotes lasting growth, resilience, and overall well-being.

Initial Evaluation - $450

Before your initial visit, you’ll complete some paperwork that covers your history and background. This allows me to gather much of the information I need ahead of time, so that during our session you have the floor. Our time together will focus on your story—what you’re experiencing now, what feels most important to you, and what you hope to gain from treatment. The session is meant to be a conversation, not a checklist, and my role is to listen carefully and begin to understand you as a whole person. From there, we’ll start outlining a plan that feels supportive and tailored to your needs.

Follow-up sessions - $250

Follow-up visits are designed to give us regular time to check in on how you’re doing and to continue the work we began in your initial session. These appointments provide a space for ongoing reflection, discussion of progress, and support through any challenges that arise. We’ll review how you’ve been feeling, explore what’s working well, and make thoughtful adjustments to your treatment plan as needed. The goal of each follow-up is to ensure that your care continues to feel personalized, effective, and aligned with your needs.
